It’s going to be quite a busy weekend! Going to finish three client projects, clean up the bedroom, and pick up my boyfriend’s favorite snacks so I can surprise him with those on Tuesday!

Outed myself to the president of my university this morning as part of a presentation myself and my peers leading our LGBTQ+ group gave to try and convince the president/university that they need to take into account that we exist and face issues on campus that aren’t being considered

I think my advisor may have forgotten about our meeting this week....

Developing applications on Windows is so much more complex than doing it with macOS or Linux, and with no benefit. Like the amount of time and effort overhead necessary to have a working dev setup is insane

Working on gathering resources to prepare a presentation about basic LGBTQ+ issues to my university's president for Thursday. I'm hoping I can help educate him about basic issues and struggles faced by members of the LGBTQ+ community so he can understand why myself and my LGBTQ+ peers are asking him to consider allowing us to have even a small LGBTQ+ center on campus (in our last meeting, he explicitly stated he doesn't believe in "affinity groups" and safe spaces).

Do I try uploading the file again, in hopes that it’ll actually be uploaded, do I just let this run all night, or do I just give up? These are thoughts running through my mind as a user with the provided experience.

Thus, given no other visual indicators or UI elements to show the progress or status of the file upload, the user is left waiting effectively as long as their patience will allow in hopes their upload will actually complete successfully.

This is bad UX.

This is an animation being used to indicate a file upload is occurring (from within iTunes Connect). There’s no indication of upload progress, time estimate, or if the upload process ran into an error.

I was kinda proud of myself for bringing up the equity versus equality debate, and initiating a conversation which led into issues of privilege, "fairness", etc.

Went to a workshop on gender roles and the different treatment people of different gender identities face. It was both fun and interesting to see what people of different identities and background had to say about the different topics discussed

Does anyone have any good/reputable resources on the subject of self-care? I'm part of the leadership of the LBGTQ+ group on my campus, and I'd love to give a presentation on the subject right around finals time

Finally unwinding after a crazy busy day. The "soft reveal" of the app I've been working on went surprisingly well, even getting approval from someone with a background in psychology. Also picked up a few points of feedback to use for 1.1 or so!
