It would be neat if there were a flag to distinguish bots from humans so that people could opt out of bots or they could be treated differently in UI or in aggregation

cEvin Key / Doubting Thomas / Download / Skinny Puppy fans: the domain majickal.horse is available and I'd buy it if I had any idea of how to develop it

A classic birdsite problem that is also here: while I'd love to read anything person P thinks about subject S, can just ignore their posts about subject T, and I'd never confront them about our incidental political differences - I'm still going to unfollow P the very first time they boost person Q's smug political propaganda. I didn't follow person Q for a reason and life's too short.

Everyone who wants their own instance should be able to get one.

Everyone is going to see things differently - and that's the way it should be. A happy cloud. Almost everything is going to happen for you automatically - you don't have to spend any time working or worrying. Everybody's different. Trees are different. Let them all be individuals. Let's give him a friend too. Everybody needs a friend. Now we can begin working on lots of happy little things.

I started using and loving #vim because I left Evernote. After 8 years of use and some 7000 notes I decided to move my stuff locally. I exported all my notes to html, converted that to plain text with lynx -dump, with a script that did it recursively and dropped everything into folders. I needed a good universal editor and vim was the clear winner. I'm not a programmer, I just want quick, flexible note editing that will be accessible for years to come.
