So, I officially removed twitter (I'm sorry, birdsite*) from my phone. This will be my new nest for spontaneous and often superficial thoughts and ideas, for now. I'll definitely keep using twitter though indirectly maybe just as a lookup tool when I need it and maybe to share the occasional article. Websites currently don't have a way to share articles directly to Mastadon unfortunately :(

Mastodon has already spoiled me. Whenever I go back to Twitter with an idea it suddenly seems daunting to try and wordsmith it down to 140 characters.
I primarily use Amaroq but today I've decided to mainly use the desktop mastodon. I'm finally noticing the limitations of the app :/ Amaroq is still a great design though and obviously the best way to toot on the go.
Federated timeline is too fast. Local timeline is too slow.
One more... I always loved this one. This work seems so innocent, hopeful, and expectant...

Trying to enhance my home feed a bit.
It's interesting that our government is overseas dropping bombs on the middle-east and literally no average citizen has had a say in it. For better or for worse it's just unsettling that American citizens will have to deal with the consequences of something far outside of their control but in control of a small number of officials who represent us.
Deep colors and light sent from the center of the galaxy to our eyes over 50,000 years.
One of my favorite aspects of the 21st century (aka the Information Age) is watching ideas take hold, become imitated, and then diversified... all in realtime. The evolution of ideas occurs very rapidly in the Information Age.
Hydrogen has been discovered in the plumes of Saturn's moon Enceladus. This, along with hydrothermal vents discovered on Enceladus' ocean floor, add to the possibility of life on the icy moon. All that is needed now is a sub-surface mission to Enceladus to prove whether or not life has had enough time to cook near these hydrothermal vents!

But it could just be that sometimes we don't have the time, and that listing the things implies a mutual understanding of its contents if only at a superficial level. Still, it seems harder to find someone willing to really dissect the media.
Ever notice how people will ask you if you've seen certain movies/shows, or if you've listened to certain music, but when you say yes nothing really comes of it? The person might just say cool and continue to list off more related things you both might've seen or heard. Well there are times when I'd actually like to take things a step further and get into the meat of said thing; to really sit down and critique or add perspective to a single thing rather than list a bunch more related things.
Was about to write Season 2 of The Seven Deadly Sins off as the most pointless anime I've watched in awhile until I realized it's mislabeled on Netflix and is actually an OVA.
